COMING SOON UNIT COLLAGE

 

THIS ASSIGNMENT IS TO BE DONE THE DAY AFTER UNIT ONE IS DONE.  IN ORDER TO DO  THIS SHOULD BE WORKED ON AS THE UNIT IS PRESENTED.

 

 

     As part of your unit test grade you will make a picture collage that will show that you understand the concepts of this unit.  The pictures can be taken from other sources, such as magazines, drawn or both.  With each picture there will be a short explanation placed on the back explaining why or how the picture demonstrates the concept and correlated to the picture by numbers on the picture and corresponding explanation.

     The collage will be graded on neatness as well as presenting a clear picture and an explanation that demonstrate clearly your understanding of the concept..  You can begin the collage at anytime but the collage will need to be completed the day after the unit is completed.  The following pictures with the corresponding explanations need to be on the colleague.  THE POSTER HAS TO BE CLEARLY ORGANIZED OR I WON’T GRADE IT.  NUMBER YOUR PICTURE TO MATCH THE NUMBER OF EACH ITEM BELOW AND NUMBER YOUR EXPLANATION TO MATCH THE PICTURE AND ITEM BELOW.

  1. Show kinetic, potential, and radiant energy.
  2. Show the law of conservation of energy.  Tell who gave us this law in your explanation.
  3. Show an example of matter and explain why it is matter in your explanation.
  4. Show examples of the three forms of matter and two types of mixtures as one of those forms of matter.  Include definitions of each form in your explanation
  5. Using symbols and formulas label atoms and molecules as well as elements and compounds.
  6. Show examples of the four states of matter.  With your picture explain the different molecular organization of each state and how the shape and volume relates to each state.
  7. Show the law of conservation of matter.  Tell who gave us this law in your explanation.
  8.  Show chemical and physical change.  In your explanation talk about how you recognize a physical or chemical change and give the three different types of physical change.
