General information was covered in class.

  1. August 24 Aand 25 B

Picked up documents.  Picked up books.  Introduced to chemistry.  Set off the Works Bomb. Assigned the first video on forms of matter.

  1. August 26A 27B

Introduced medtric system.  Worked on lab equipment and got ready for a lab equipment test.

  1. August 28A 31B

Reviewed first and second electronic sheet.  Worked on meters, liters, and grams in lab on A Day and B Day.  On B-1 just started unit prefixes.

  1. September 1 A 2 B

Completed prefixes and worked on conversion factors. Worked on one practice and watched short math video about conversions.

  1. September 3 A and 4 B  

Worked on conversions factors online.  A-4 needs to apply conversion factors to the metric system.  B-1 needs more practice using conversions on the metric system.

  1. September 8A and 9B

Quizzed on using conversion factors for the metric system several people are watching the video on conversion factors to better understand.

  1. September 10A and 11B

Practiced metric conversions.  Covered scientific notation completely.  Worked on density and need to check peoples work

  1. September 14A and 15B

Praciticed metric conversions and density.  Worked on density lab.

  1. September 16A and 17B

Quizzed on scientific notation and density.  Added percent error to our lab and activity sheets.  Started working on significant figures.

  1. September 18A and 21B

Finished significant figures and the density lab.

  1. September 22A and 23B

Quizzed on significant figures in A.  Completed temperature material.  In B we completed temperature and started on graphing.

  1. September 24A and 25 B

Finished graphing. Quizzed on temperature.  Practiced significant figures on line.  B taking missed quizzes.  Graphing.

  1. September 28 A and 29 B

Quizzed on graphing and reviewed for the unit 1 test for Wednesday on A day.  On B-Day watched a DVD on Scientists involved with laying ground work for Einstein.

  1. September 30A and October 1B   

A-4 tested on chapter one.  B-1 quizzed on graphing and reviewed for test next time

         16.    October 2 A   and 6 B

                A-4 has completed unit 1 and 2.  We reviewed the test answers and prepared those students who got a grade below 80 to come back to me and work on the material until they understand the

                 material at a mastery level and have their grade raised.  B-1 will take the test on the 6th and complete the test correction on October 8.

                

                A-4 began unit 3 on October 2 B-1 will begin on October 8.  Material covered for these classes should look in unit 3 accordingly.
