2004-2005
Science Department
Goal – Direct our teaching to correspond more effectively with the core
standards, make the students aware of how their
learning meets the core standards, and prepare the students for the end of the
year test as each standard is met. Each
teacher will submit a plan of how they are going to accomplish this goal with a
department expectation of meeting the district averages or better for our
testing scores.
Individual Goals:
Larry Rasmussen – Transfer all my notes, practice sheets, and quizzes to power point.
Chandler Taylor – Make sure every lesson directly correlates with the Biology core, eliminating lessons or material that are too deep or irrelevant, and check many times to ensure the students are understanding the core and reaching the competencies.
David Loveland - Making sure that the material covered is in correspondence with the state core and measure to make sure the core standards are understood.
Wendy Wilson - Get to know the students and use that knowledge to create lesson plans designed to inspire interest in physics for them. Also, keep a log on at risk students, and create lesson plans that will incorporate their needs.
Tom Richards - Write outlines for course lectures from the new Glenco text.
Robert Louder – Writing power point note outlines and assignments for AP environmental and general environmental courses.
Darren DeGracie – Transfer all my notes, and quizzes to power point.
