Human Population Growth

Demography- the study of human population growth characteristics using growth rate, age structure, and geographic distribution.

Growth rate = birthrate - death rate

Age structure- a graph that shows proportions of a population that are at different age levels.

Immigration- movement of individuals into a population

Emigration- movement from a population
