Community Council

» THS Community Council General Information for 2009-10

The THS Community Council is made up of our parents/patrons, PTSA President, teachers, Junior Class Vice President (student), and our school principal. Parents are elected from six areas within the school boundaries. Teachers are elected by the THS faculty. Some members are appointed according to our council by-laws. Depending upon the position, terms are from one to two years.

This council is responsible for developing a yearly school improvement plan that is subject to the approval of the local school board. The school improvement plan identifies the school's most critical academic needs, and recommends a course of action to meet those needs. In addition, the council is responsible for the allocation of School Land Trust Funds. These funds are intended to be used for implementing components of the school improvement plan. Also, the council assists in the development and implementation of a staff professional development plan. Finally, they are to advise and make recommendations to school and school district administrators and the local school board regarding the school and its programs, school district programs, and other issues relating to the community environment for students.

Our council welcomes the feedback and concerns of the patrons of Timpanogos High School . Below, see the boundary map link for the area you belong to. Also, use the link to see a roster of members, phone numbers and/or e-mail addresses. Feel free to contact the parent member that is assigned to your area.
