Special Programs You Can Participate in at THS

Concurrent Enrollment classes allow you to earn both high school and college credit at the same time. (Click on the link to see which classes are offered at THS.) Talk to your instructor or your counselor to make sure you understand all of the rules and ramifications of concurrent enrollment classes.

MATC
Founded in 1991 to teach vocational skills, today MATC is established to offer associate degree training to both high school and adult students. It is one of the largest campuses comprising the Utah College of Applied Technology.  It provides a comprehensive curriculum of technical training, adult basic education and continuing education, as well as customized employee training.

Electronic High School
EHS offers a flexible, open-entry / open-exit curriculum that is competency-based. With a few exceptions, students are able to enroll any day of the year and work at their own pace until the course is completed. We expect students to complete a course within twelve months, but extensions can be granted. Students who wish to earn only partial credit are able to do so.

Building Youth Program - Home Building Construction.
Under the direction of a licensed contractor, students gain hands-on experience as they build a house from excavation to the finishing trim. Students may attend daily or every other day for 2 periods mornings or afternoons. $40 fee. This is a UVSC concurrent enrollment class. Successful completion awards the student five credits in Framing and Concrete Lab, BCCM1190H56, and Finishing Lab, BCCM1220H56.

Advanced Placement (AP)
Through college-level AP courses, you enter a universe of knowledge that might otherwise remain unexplored in high school; through AP Exams, you have the opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at most of the nation's colleges and universities.
